CF and News on Feb., 23rd

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is developing a CF drug called VX-770, which is designed to treat the underlying cause of cystic fibrosis — a faulty gene and its protein product called CFTR.  Only 4% of the CF population has the G551D mutation which this drug if FDA approved hopefully going to be available around the end of 2012. 

This is huge!!  Not only is my son part of this 4% but this will help with opening up the future for other possible discovery's.  I can not express how happy this has made me and my family.  The joy I feel is indescribable. As such life is good!

Just gettting started and wanted my inspiration to be my first post.

An old man once said ...There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living ~
